Hey Everyone!

Lovely to meet you all at the Freshers Fair, now onwards to our first meeting;)

We will be meeting 7pm, Thursday, September 28th on the Parkinson Steps.

The Committee will be at the top of the steps to greet you and show you to our room, (Parkinson Room MB 08, if you must know!)

There, we will be hoping to address all your questions, everything from what debating is, to introducing our British Parliamentary style of debating, a sample debate to show you, as well as a lovely surprise for you all…

This will be followed by a social at Strawberry Fields, with £250+ of free food and drink!

Hey again everyone!

Can’t believe summer has gone so fast, and its already time for the new term to kick off!

Still, welcome back to everyone already at Leeds, and Congrats and Welcome to all new students:)

We are currently sorting everything for Freshers Fair, to be held in the Union on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st September. Here, you will have the chance to meet us, and join the Debating Society.

We will also be announcing details of meetings there, which will be posted on the site after Freshers Fair. The first Society meeting will take place on Thursday, September 28th, and although we do not yet have a venue confirmed (will be in Parkinson building somewhere tho, and posted here soon as we have confirmation), I can reveal that we do have a social afterwards, involving £300+ of free food and drink for all members at Strawbs. So, if you get lost, you know where to find us!
